Thanks.

No, one piece of Knight's Armour is not enough to get overall damage reduction such as the effect from an Absorbtion rune. It will only reduce the damage done to that specific part. So if you had the Knight's Leggings, you'd only get the damage reduction effect if a creature tried to kneecap you.

On average 3/8 to the chest, 2/8 to the legs, and 1/8 to the hands, feet, and head. This changes depending on where your attacker is - attacking from above gives more headshots, for example.

Actually as the person before you stated, the answer to that is NO. People have been trying to say that is does affect total body reduction for some time on here and I looked into it. Each piece only accounts for the piece it's being worn on.

As he said Knights boots will only give you damage reduction on your knees to feet. I think too many people have been thinking that it does work for total body. It doesn't. Only a rune covers full body reduction. RTFM.

Ensign is correct and it has been tested and proveds to be correct before. The peoplke stating that you only need 1 piece of knights or ascalon armor for the full body reduction effect are correct and have been proven correct numerious times by people testing it out.

RTFM eh? How about you understand the manual is wrong And what manual are you reading anyways since no-where in my manual does it say anything at all about this...

And just for your info.. I did a search on this site for "Knight armor reduction".. here's 2 threads you should read thoroughly:

This would be a whole lot less difficult if ignorami like yourself didn't constant come into these threads and start trying to pass off blatant falsehoods as though they had a hint of truth to them. Knight's Boots, or whatever piece of Knight's or Ascalon armor you happen to be wearing, has applied a *global* reduction to damage since I first tested it back in February. The only thing that has changed since then is stacking - back then, the Knight's bonus did *not* stack with an Absorption rune, and now it does.

What did you look into to see if Knight's Boots gave a local or global reduction? Certainly you didn't look in the game, because if you did you'd have observed the global reduction *that I've tested, seen, and reported multiple times in retail*. Which means you probably read some other ignorant kid saying it's location specific, or some other nonsense that does not agree with what you actually observe in game.

If I wasn't sure that I'd be posting the exact same thing in the exact same thread next week, I'd say this is the last time, but I know better now - the -2 damage that you get from Knight's Boots is a *global* modifier, despite how little sense or how imbalanced that might seem to you. Platemail and Gladiator's Armor are horrendously imbalanced, too, but you don't see people coming onto these forums to debate how those work, do you?

*sighs*

RTFM indeed. I wrote the friggin manual. Go buy a pair of Knight's Boots, stand in a Maelstrom, and come back and apologize.

Peace,
-CxE
